The difference between an IPL (home) Handset and a professional treatment
When you follow a treatment in a clinic someone will assess your skin and hair color and based on that decide which treatment is suitable. Safety
A reputable clinic or salon will adhere to all legal requirements and so you can be sure that the treatments are safe. For the same reason, it is very important that home handsets are safe but also provide good results. The technology behind home handsets are often simpler than the technology used in a clinic. However, IPL technology for home handsets has advanced to the point where it can be used safely and most importantly, effectively at home.
Treatments
Treatment schedules for home handsets range from 6 weeks to 3 months. We, MyHappySkin, recommend 10 weekly treatments and then 3 monthly treatments. It is of course different for each person but in most cases the desired result will have been achieved by then.
A clinic often works with 6-10 monthly treatments, the number of treatments is also different for each person. However, the treatment duration is considerably longer.
In both cases maintenance treatments are needed: 2-4 maintenance treatments per year for home treatments and 1-2 maintenance treatments per year for a clinic treatment. For both home treatments and professional treatments, the more often you have already treated, the less maintenance treatments are needed per year.

Results
The results between home treatment and professional treatment are similar. Ultimately, although the technology behind IPL Handsets has been simplified, it has the same effect as professional treatment. You have maintenance treatments in both cases. The budget
The average costs for a professional treatment are quite high. For example, for hair removal of your limbs you pay between €125 and €450. On average this comes down to an amount of €287.50. Often there are between 6 and 10 treatments needed to achieve the desired result. A professional IPL treatment thus quickly costs between € 1725 and € 2875. To get a professional treatment you have to dig deep into your pockets.

Feedback on the MyHappySkin Handset
